The Padel Insider

Drop Shot is a Spanish padel specialist founded in 2009 by Marcelo Cascabelo, an Argentine-born former Olympic steeplechase athlete who had spent years inside the sport's supply chain before launching the brand. Built exclusively around padel from day one, the company grew without a tennis parent brand or licensing structure behind it, reaching more than 20 countries inside its first decade.

Juan Martín Díaz, one of the most decorated players in padel history, joined Drop Shot early and shaped the direction of its flagship lineup. The Conqueror series, developed around his game, became one of the best-selling racket families in the sport's history. Díaz now serves as a product advisor to the brand, continuing to influence development well after his playing peak.

The 2026 collection spans round control frames to teardrop attack molds, with 24K Twill carbon faces on the top tier and graduated EVA densities through the range. Harder cores appear in the control-oriented Conqueror family; softer compounds and foam constructions feature in the power-forward lines such as the Axion Attack and Cyber Attack. Drop Shot has expanded into beach tennis and pickleball alongside padel, but racket development in padel remains the centre of the business.

Technologies

Carbon Face

24K Twill Carbon

Top-tier carbon weave used on the Cyber Attack. 24,000-filament construction produces a stiff, precise face suited to advanced players who want a direct response on smashes.

18K Carbon Textreme

Carbon weave with enhanced elasticity used on mid-tier attack models including the Quantum. Balances stiffness with a degree of dwell time for control on touch shots.

Core Foam

EVA Soft

Softer EVA compound used in the Conqueror control range. Elastic feel, comfortable on the arm, and predictable ball exit at lower swing speeds.

EVA Pro

Firmer EVA grade used in power-oriented models. Less deformation on impact gives a more direct, explosive response suited to attacking play.

Surface

3D Face System

Textured relief pattern on the hitting surface that increases friction for spin shots, particularly on slice and bandeja contact.

Frame

Twin Tubular System

Bi-tubular carbon construction running through the frame. Adds shock resistance and torsional rigidity while improving stability on off-center contact.

Smart Holes System

Engineered hole pattern with curved or variable spacing across the face. Reduces vibration transmission and improves airflow during the swing.
