Once I committed to full swings on the salida, the response cleaned up quickly and I could lift with confidence. If your defensive game leans on wristy chiquitas and quick redirects, this frame will fight you. If you play a proactive defense that resets with intent, the XPLO holds up.

Volleys & Net Play
At the net the picture splits. On clean contact the volea comes off crisp and direct, with the pace of a frame that wants to punish weak balls. The 12K carbon face gives an honest, immediate reply and offensive voleas into the feet feel authoritative. The trouble is speed. The high swing weight is noticeable when a fast exchange forces two or three reflex volleys in a row, and the sweet spot punishes any contact drifting toward the throat or the tip. A dejada is possible, but you supply all of the touch. For a net player who dictates rather than reacts, it works.

Overheads & Smashes
This is the headline. The XPLO is one of the most aggressive smash frames in Bullpadel's 2026 range and the plow-through on a flat remate por tres is genuinely intimidating. The head-heavy balance stacks mass behind the ball and the stiff MultiEVA transmits every bit of racket head speed. Víboras carry a low, mean skid when you brush hard through contact and the bandeja lands heavier than the shape would suggest, though it takes some work to keep it controlled and short. If you finish points from above the net, this is the tool. It rewards the ataque and gives back exactly what you put in.

Spin and Touch
Spin is the surprise. On paper the 3D Grain surface should bite the ball, but in practice the finish reads glossier than I expected and new balls slide across the face more than I wanted. On a víbora you can force cut with a pronounced downward path, but topspin lifts on the bandeja need a very deliberate brush, otherwise the shot floats long. Touch shots follow the same pattern as defense. There is no automatic rebound to lean on, so a delicate dejada or a soft chiquita is built entirely by the hand. Skilled players will manage. Anyone hoping the frame will supply feel is looking in the wrong place.

Ergonomics and Technologies
The headline hardware is the CustomWeight tip system, which lets you insert 3, 6 or 9 grams into the head to shift balance and swing weight. It genuinely changes the feel of the frame and it is the best reason to buy the XPLO over a fixed-balance rival, since you can tune the diamond to sit closer to a heavy attack teardrop if the stock setup swings too slowly. Ease Vibe and Vibradrive dampening keep vibration in check for a stiff power frame, which matters because the stock swing weight is high and off-center hits still travel. I would not recommend this to anyone with arm history regardless of the dampening story.

The XPLO 2026 is a specialist. It is a heavy, stiff, upper-third diamond built for advanced players who finish points with the smash and want tunable balance. The reward is honest, direct feedback and pace that few frames in the range can match on the ataque. The cost is a small sweet spot, minimal help on passive shots, and a spin ceiling that leans on technique rather than surface. If you play aggressive padel from the net and above, and your arm can handle the load, the XPLO earns its place. Everyone else should look further down the Bullpadel range.
