Wilson Endure V1

Brand:Wilson
Model:Endure
Series:Endure
Variant:V1

Wilson's first flagship round-shape control racket. The Endure V1 pairs a Control Foam+ dual-density core with an ExactTouch raw-carbon surface and a 255mm grip-heavy balance, producing one of the most predictable and maneuverable frames in its category. At 365g with an extended 14cm handle, it rewards two-handed back-court drives without arm strain. Built for players who win through placement, not pace.

IntermediateAdvanced

Best for:

Intermediate to advanced defensive baseliners who build through consistency and placement, not pace.

What reviewers say

  • The Endure V1 is just as easy to maneuver as the Nox AT10 12K line, but the ball feels like it goes deeper into the racket. You get more feeling out of each shot.

    Otro Nivel Padel

  • Once I was able to smash with the racket lower, the kick was really nice. The handle makes a real difference.

    Otro Nivel Padel

  • Wilson did a very good job increasing the sweet spot with this line. It is a big improvement over their previous control rackets.

    Otro Nivel Padel

  • If you like to play with control and prefer the hands game, this is really, really nice. I give it 9.4 out of 10 — it works for pro-level players and intermediates alike.

    Otro Nivel Padel

  • The Endure V1 is focused on control-oriented game styles. Good maneuverability, great for intermediate players looking for a control racket.

Full Technical Review

The Endure V1 is Wilson's clearest statement in the round-control category. A 365g round shape with a 255mm grip-heavy balance, a soft dual-density Control Foam+ core, an ExactTouch raw-carbon face, and an extended 14cm handle: everything in the construction points at the same player. The intermediate-to-advanced defensive baseliner who builds points with two-handed drives from the back, absorbs pace, and wins through consistency and placement. This racket is not for finishers, and it does not pretend to be.

How it plays

Smash / por tres: the extended 14cm handle is the story here. Gripping lower unlocks wrist lever that shorter handles on conventional control rounds do not offer, and the kick on impact improved noticeably once I found the right low-grip position. The caveat: this is still a soft round. Exit velocity on full overhead swings is modest, so the smash will neutralize a point, not finish it.

Víbora / topspin drive: the ExactTouch stippling provides genuine grip on the ball, and the soft foam gives more contact time to roll the ball up the face. What you trade is snap. A stiffer carbon face springs harder at the top of the motion; the Control Foam+ absorbs rather than launches. The result is a controlled víbora, not an aggressive one.

Bandeja: the large, centered sweet spot makes the bandeja reliable across a wide contact zone. The soft core takes the sting out of the ball after the glass, producing a short, controlled drop. Good for keeping the ball in play. Less useful if you want to angle it or accelerate toward the sideline.

Volea / reflex: high maneuverability at 255mm balance makes the reflex volea quick and natural. The large sweet spot absorbs late contacts without punishing vibration. What you sacrifice is punch. Blocks feel comfortable but they do not push opponents back.

Defensa / salida de pared: this is where the racket earns its keep. Control Foam+ absorbs incoming pace, and returns from the glass come back placed rather than lobbed and hoped. The 14cm handle supports full wrist engagement on defensive sweeps in ways a standard grip does not.

The trade-off

The Endure V1 gives you control by absorbing energy, not by redirecting it. That distinction matters the moment a match demands you close a point. The same soft foam that makes defensive returns so comfortable is the quality that prevents decisive finishing. Power sits at the low end of the adult round category, and the extended handle partially compensates on the smash through added wrist lever, but the soft core and low-balance physics do not change: if a match comes down to a power exchange at the net, this racket will not win it.

Best for / avoid if

This racket suits the intermediate-to-advanced player who plays from behind the service line, uses a two-handed grip on the backhand or defensive overhead, and wants a frame that protects the arm over long matches while delivering genuinely high control. Players with a tennis background who naturally choke down the handle will adapt immediately. If you win by reducing unforced errors rather than taking the ball early, the Endure V1 sits exactly on your game.

Avoid it if you finish at the net. If your game is built around net attack or left-side víboras, the control gain will not offset the power loss. Advanced players coming from a teardrop who occasionally play through the net will feel the deficit within weeks.
